Claas - Traktoren und Systemschlepper seit 1957
Claas made a first attempt into the tractor market in 1957 with the introduction of the Huckepack, basically a multipurpose vehicle that could be used both as a tractor and as a combine harvester. This development was followed by serveral engineering projects with Claas, with the Xerion of 1995 as a first commercial result, followed by the distribution under Claas banner of the American Caterpillar Challenger. Claas became a full line tractor maker in 2003 by the acquisition of Renault in France. The book starts with a brief review of the Claas tractor history, followed by a short history and technical details of the tractors that followed until 2020.
